Third Graders! This week’s art project is a very important one and needs to be done carefully, following the guidelines I set up. You will also need a partner- either mom/dad/,older sister/brother and/or tripod for camera/iPad holder.
Title of your work: Virtual Learning Self Portrait
Background: Think/discuss what a self portrait is. “self” means YOU. “Portrait”-a pictorial representation of a person usually showing their face. Most portraits are set to show some of what that person is about.
Need to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHOwCtArkX0&list=PLpjYSE5c6zlYpaRkD0g34oHP9o5dvu0rq&index=12&t=0s
These videos are very good for a reference and show what I’d like your end work to look like.
Directions: Think carefully over your learning experience so far-What things were important to you during this time? What are your favorite activities that helped you in the spare time to stay positive? What do you want to share about you? Write down your answers to these questions. My answers: My iPad, my phone, my laptop- all items I used to plan lessons, reach out to the teachers or for zoom meeting. Next my sneakers so I can go walking. My camera and art supplies-so I can paint and create art. I also included a pan and oven mitts because I have been doing more cooking and baking since we can’t go out. I included pictures of my family because I miss them, and they are important to me. I include my favorite animal-penguins! Lastly I included my Riverbank shirt and my cup as a reminder of all my “school family” that I miss, care about and are blessed to be a part of as well as hoping that they are doing well and staying safe.
So, after you look over your answers gather your top 7 items (more if you want) from that list. Now think about where you’d like to take the picture-background is very important. Too busy and your items will be hard to see. See my picture
Too busy of a space and your items can look lost. Also be careful of your pets- mine kept getting in but not in a good way. Arrange your items-leaving space for you. Check your picture before taking it that you and all your things are in the picture frame. If your parents are helping, ask them to make sure everything is in and you are ready. If it's good take the photo. Here is my best one
Send to me when finished! Can’t wait to see yours. Email to email@example.com
